Football For the Rest Of Us
Lovers of football all over America can play their favorite sport without needing to invest in the heavy pads and helmets required for full on tackle football. This has the added benefit of avoiding the crushing tackles and hits that can cause severe injury.
Touch football involves touching the ball carrier with one or both hands in order to “tackle” them. The only thing needed to play touch football is a group of friends, a football, and enough space to play it on. No costly equipment is required. Since two hand touch generally avoids the use of defensive and offensive lines, a counting system is usually put into place, where any defenders who wish to rush the quarterback must count to a pre-determined number first. This gives a teams quarterback enough time to find a receiver, just not an indefinite time.
Flag football follows similar rules, but each player has a flag made from fabric attached to them, usually by means of a belt. In order to “tackle” in flag football, the flag must be taken from the ball carrier. This makes the acting of stopping the ball carrier a bit trickier. Flag football has several amateur and semi-professional organizations.
After the game it’s nice to go home, pop open a beer and hang out with friends. If you have friends over all the time and entertain, you energy bill will undoubtedly increase. Use a deregulated energy company like, just energy to help decrease your cost.
