Top strategies to keep your flag flying

Football is an amazing sport. Being out on the field trying to outwit your opponents on a weekly basis is a great way for kids and adults alike to have good clean fun. Flag and touch football is a bit different than normal football. Rather than having to tackle someone to get them to be defined as out all you have to do is either touch them or rip the flag off of their belt. Flag football is generally considered a safer but just as fun a form of football.

There are many strategies to help you keep your flag flying behind you. One way to learn to do it like the pros is to watch the pros. Spend a few hours on the weekend and watch a pro team. Sure they don’t have flag but the same concepts apply to a flag game as a normal game. Learn to move as they do. Watch them watch their opponents. Also make sure that you are training at home. Doing speed drills at home is a great way to become faster than the competition. When you’re faster than they are there’s no way they’ll be able to either touch you or rip your flag off!
